“Ridiculous!” Kim Kardashian Blames Fan for Photoshop Fail

Kim Kardashian took heat over the weekend for a controversial post to her Instagram page on the day that March For Our Lives took place in Washington. As Celebuzz! previously reported, fans came after the star after she posted an image in support of the cause that appeared to be Photoshopped before posting.

Fans were furious that she invoked the name of the important cause for “self-promotion,” but was that really what happened? Kim says no.

The star responded to the haters on her app, calling out fans and the media for the ridiculous accusations surrounding the photo. According to her, she pulled from a fan’s Instagram page and did not intentionally edit it to make her look thinner.

“I’m seeing online and on news media outlets that I suffered a ‘Photoshop fail.’ So ridiculous! I reposted a picture on Instagram that a fan had already posted—I only added a filter to it. It looks like the fan mirrored the photo, which is the reason the car looks like that. So, this is actually really funny to me! Who would even Photoshop a car to look like that?! LOL”

The focus on the allegedly Photoshopped image is unfortunate to say the least as gun control is likely an issue that is close to the hearts of both Kim and Kanye West. The former endured a devastating robbery at gunpoint in 2016 during a home invasion in Paris, while the latter grew up in Chicago’s South Side, one of the most notoriously violent areas in the country. The couple are also parents to three young children who they would likely want protected from any violence in the classroom.

In addition to the controversial image, the KKW Beauty founder posted plenty of pictures showing her family’s support for the cause, including sweet shots of her husband and their daughter, North West, watching the speakers and performers at the event

Under a photo of her daughter on Kanye’s shoulders, the star wrote:

“What an amazing day yesterday to take my daughter to Washington DC to see our future leaders speak. Having my daughter march alongside her grandfather and parents was a day I hope she remembers forever. I know that the younger generation will vote to change these gun laws that so desperately need to be changed. Hearing these stories yesterday and meeting so many families affected by gun violence was heart breaking and I hope when it comes time to vote we all step up and vote to protect our children.”

From where we’re sitting, we think it’s time to give Kim a pass on this one!
