Kylie Jenner’s family is not “standing in the way” of her getting married to Travis Scott, despite a report. Gossip Cop can bust this untrue story. Not only is it inaccurate, but it also contradicts previous tall tales.
As illustrated in the screengrab below, HollywoodLife has been inconsistent, to say the least, on the subject of Jenner and Scott marrying. In January, the site alleged she was begging him to propose. By early March, the blog insisted Jenner would not have more kids with the rapper unless he proposed and they married. A mere two days later, however, the website claimed Jenner had turned down Scott’s proposal because, although she wanted to marry him, she was content with their dynamic. And now a few weeks later, the outlet is offering yet another narrative.
According to this latest story, Scott “desperately wants to marry” Jenner, “so much so that he’s begging her to elope,” but “the Kardashians” are the “one thing standing in their way.” A so-called “Kardashian insider” is quoted as saying, “Kylie’s holding out and her family is the big reason. She’s getting a tremendous amount of pressure from them to hold off on marriage right now.” Though no specific relatives are named, the online publication’s supposed snitch maintains they’re “doing whatever it takes to try and stop her” from tying the knot.
How so? “They’re really getting into her head and giving her very personal reasons why they think it would be a mistake right now,” claims the seemingly fake insider, who asserts the family is “putting a lot of fears in Kylie’s head about how getting married will change things… and not necessarily for the better.” But aside from that example, the site gives no further insight on the “very personal reasons why” the clan supposedly believes she shouldn’t get married, and the outlet has no evidence to support the contention hat they’re “doing whatever it takes to try and stop her.”
There’s other notable omissions that are just as telling. Nothing is mentioned about Jenner begging Scott to propose and demanding that they be married before having more children, as previously claimed. Similarly, nothing is said about Jenner recently turning down a marriage proposal from the performer, which was also previously alleged. These stories are disconnected because they are both untrue and seemingly fabricated. Jenner herself even once wrote to fans on Twitter about the blog’s phony reports, “Don’t let ’em fool you.”
While it’s true the Kardashian-Jenners haven’t given their blessing for Jenner and Scott to marry, the family is not actively standing in the couple’s way. The real reason they aren’t walking down the aisle is because, contrary to these latest claims, neither of them actually want to wed. In February, for example, when People noted how Jenner and Scott aren’t even officially living together, it was reported they have “have no plans to get married.”
And just a few days ago, in a new piece about Jenner and daughter Stormi, the reputable magazine confirmed “there has still been no talk about an engagement.” This is their decision, not the Kardashians’, despite what this blog is wrongly telling readers.
