In your own words, what is ‘Knight Squad’ about?
Daniella: A group of kids who all go to knight school. Arc and Ciara and (Owen and I) become friends because we both have really big secrets. We go on crazy adventures, fight magical creatures…there’s lots of magic!
How would you describe your characters?
Owen: Energetic, friendly and intelligent.
Daniella: Girl power, sassy and a leader.

What was your first impression of the show?
Owen: There was a scene that’s out of it now; it’s in the pilot. I’m in a wagon talking to chickens. And I don’t know why, but that got me. I was just crying-laughing when I read the script. I was like, “This is hilarious. I have to do this now.”
Is doing your own stunts scary?
Daniella: I’m thrilled. I love it! Before we started filming, we had a prep week, and every single day, for six hours, we would train. We’d do sword fighting, we’d do harnesses, gymnastics stuff, so we were very prepared.
Owen: There were definitely scenes that were difficult to keep acting through the stunt. In the pilot, I have to jump out of the castle courtyard because an ogre is trying to catch me. I was terrified, but I did it and I got the shot.

Do you ever accidentally break character and laugh during a scene?
Owen: All the time. I’m definitely the only person on set that breaks constantly…I’ll just start cracking up.
Daniella: This one time, we both broke. We didn’t realize we were on camera, and then looked straight into the camera and burst out laughing.
What’s something fans would be surprised to know?
Daniella: We sing a lot on set! One of us will randomly start singing, and then the whole cast joins in, and we’ll make up songs and put beats to it. I think I’ve made up our theme song, if I’m being honest!
