Kanye West A Diva On The L.A. Restaurant Scene?

Kanye West is not a “known diva” on the Los Angeles restaurant scene, despite a phony tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this nonsense. We’re told there’s not truth to it.

According to Life & Style, everyone in the restaurant industry in L.A. dreads it whenever the rapper visits their establishment. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Kanye can give Mariah Carey a run for her money when it comes to being a diva. The waitstaff feels like they’re walking on eggshells when Kanye is around. He rarely makes eye contact and they have to stand at least two feet away from him at all times.”

The outlet’s questionable insider further claims that West “freaks out if anyone accidentally touches him,” adding, “Eyewitnesses have seen him raise his voice, throw his napkin on the table and storm out of a private members club during a meeting.” As the story goes, the rapper will readily shout, “Don’t you know who I am?” if one of his demands isn’t met.

It should be noted, the unreliable magazine provides very few details to back up this narrative. The outlet fails to mention a single name of one of the L.A. restaurants where West has supposedly made a scene. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s story is completely false. We’re told the rapper hasn’t earned a reputation for being a “diva” at any L.A. restaurants. This is a non-story.

It’s also worth noting, the owners of the Nu Vegan Cafe in Washington, D.C. said West was “very appreciative and very humble” when he made a surprise visit to the restaurant following the BET Honors in 2015. The rapper had skipped a glitzy afterparty to instead eat at the quiet, family-owned establishment. Clearly, the rapper doesn’t get too fussy when it comes to dining.

Unfortunately, Life & Style frequently targets the rapper with fake news, so we’re not surprised by this latest attempt at doing so. Gossip Cop recently busted the magazine for falsely claiming West was rejected from becoming a judge on the “American Idol” reboot.
