Kris Jenner Behind Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, Sofia Richie Love Triangle?

Is Kris Jenner behind the supposed love triangle involving Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and Sofia Richie? A tabloid report claims the relations between the stars are “all a set-up” for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Gossip Cop looked into the story and can debunk it.

NW is actually describing the situation as a “love square” with Kardashian’s boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, factored in. The gossip magazine deems the dynamic between the two couples “so juicy that some sources reckon it has Kris Jenner written all over it.” A so-called “insider” is then quoted as saying, “Kris has totally masterminded this. She’s an absolute genius when it comes to plot lines.”

“She knew she had to come up with an intense plot and is absolutely involved in all” the couplings, contends the outlet’s supposed source. As evidence, the publication tells readers, “Cast your mind back to previous seasons and you’ll see that Kourtney and Scott’s relationship problems have always played out for the ‘KUWTK’ cameras… This latest drama is no exception.”

Jenner is described as “hell bent on ratings gold,” even if it means 19-year-old Richie becomes “collateral damage.” Contends the alleged insider, “You have to feel sorry for Sofia because she’s genuinely fallen for Scott. But Kris will find a way to cheer her up through exposure, as well as a starring role in the biggest reality show on the planet.”

But Richie has yet to appear on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which aired its season 14 finale earlier this month. And while it’s true the show’s cameras have captured the ups and downs of Kardashian’s relationship with Disick, that’s the whole point of the series — to document the family’s lives. Aside from generating that basic concept, Jenner isn’t pulling strings when it comes to the two couples. There really hasn’t even been that much drama on the show in regards to either of the relationships.

While a January episode focused in part on Disick not reacting well to the news that Kardashian had a boyfriend, a February installment featured Jenner and Kim Kardashian giving their approval of Disick and Richie’s relationship. At no point have the couples clashed on-screen. The four people involved (Kardashian, Bendjima, Disick and Richie) haven’t even all come face-to-face off-screen.

It makes little sense, then, to accuse Jenner of faking a situation that’s been fairly benign. Rather, it seems all the manufacturing has come from the tabloid, which seemingly concocted this purported “love quadrangle” because of Disick’s well-known jealous streak and because Richie and Bendjina have hung out in the past. The magazine even features photos of the platonic pals from more than six months ago, but wrongly suggests to readers that they’re snapshots from a recent get-together.

The gossip media likes to peddle love triangle stories, and NW goes even further here with mentions of “love rivals” and the suggestion that a “girlfriend swap” could be on the horizon. But all of this is from the outlet’s imagination, not Jenner’s.
