Taylor Swift never took off her clothes for a film role, despite a false report from a year ago claiming the singer was willing to show some skin to become a movie star. Gossip Cop exclusively debunked the story 12 months ago. Time has proven it to be false.
On March 19, 2017, Gossip Cop busted OK! for making up a story about Swift being determined to “shed her clothes” in order to score a movie role. The singer previously had small parts in the films The Giver and Valentine’s Day, but the unreliable tabloid said she was desperate to land a leading role. “She’s tired of her ‘good girl’ reputation, and she’s looking for a character to play that will showcase her racy side,” a so-called “source” told the magazine.
At the time the article was published, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Swift, who exclusively assured us the singer had no plans to take off her clothes for a film role, nor was she focusing on her acting career. As time has shown, Swift spent much of last year working on her album Reputation, which was released in November 2017.
Meanwhile, Swift is now gearing up for her Reputation Stadium Tour, which kicks off in May and runs until November. The singer has clearly been concentrating on her music career over the past year, and it will continue to be her focus for the majority of 2018. In the year since Gossip Cop debunked OK!’s phony article, Swift never starred in a movie, nor does she have any immediate plans to do so.
Unfortunately, the unreliable tabloid has been spreading lies about the singer in 2018 as well. Gossip Cop recently busted the magazine for wrongly reporting that Swift had moved into Joe Alwyn’s apartment in London. We also singled out OK! for coming up with 2017’s top wrong rumor about Swift. Gossip Cop gave the outlet this dubious honor last year for wrongly reporting the pop star was dating Jake Gyllenhaal again.
Swift’s acting work over the past year has comprised of short segments in a few of her music videos, but the singer never “shed her clothes” in a film. She never considered such a thing either. The magazine’s phony story simply doesn’t hold up well.
