Were Meghan Markle’s personal photos hacked by ISIS? That’s a claim circulating online, but the website spreading the allegation appears to have been duped. Gossip Cop can bust the false story.

MediaTakeOut blares in a headline on Friday, “ISIS Just Hacked Princess Meghan Markle… They Will Release Nekkid Pics Unless England Agrees To Their Demands!” The blog claims the terrorist group is in possession of intimate pictures of Prince Harry’s fiancée, a purported “preview” of which has supposedly surfaced on an explicit site. According to the story, though, ISIS is threatening to release more photos unless their three alleged stipulations are met.

The first supposed “demand” calls for UK troops to withdraw from Muslim holy lands. The second stated “demand” orders the abdication of Queen Elizabeth so that Sadiq Khan, the current mayor of London, can become the leader of the “Caliphate of Britainsta.” And the third and final “demand” requests a delivery of three dozen sheep of the “finest” quality to an undisclosed location at the border of Syria and Iraq.

Alleges the online publication, “If England does not agree to the demands, ISIS claims they will leak” Markle’s private snapshots. Where did MediaFakeOut, as it’s known, get such wild and outrageous contentions? Well, the aforementioned explicit site that first posted the “preview” pictures allegedly of Markle filled out its article, if you can even call it that, with the allegation that the purported illicit material came from the “celebrity nude leak wing of ISIS.”

What MediaTakeOut apparently failed to realize, though, is that the site, which regularly posts fake celebrity photos, is not actually connected to ISIS. Rather, its repeated references to Muslims and holy lands are all part of a shtick. It’s a charade that the site keeps up and maintains throughout all of its explicit posts.

Incredibly, though, MediaFakeOut is taking it all seriously, even though not one legitimate outlet has actually confirmed, or even suggested, that ISIS is involved in the supposed photo leak. It’s also worth noting that the terrorist group has not boasted about the situation, even though it usually takes credit when it is involved in misdeeds. What’s more is that a rep for Kensington Palace told The Blast that the alleged photos of Markle are actually “fake.”

To top it all off, even the blog’s own readers were skeptical of the claims. One commenter wrote in response, “Fake news. MTO is the only site to spread this rumor,” while another observed, “If this was true, it would be all over the news.” Indeed, when photos of Middleton were surreptitiously taken by paparazzi and then leaked in a tabloid, the scandal was international news and spawned a lawsuit. Had Markle actually been hacked, with real photos leaked by ISIS, this would be receiving global attention. But it is not because none of it is true.
