Brad Pitt has not vowed to stay celibate for a year as he continues to deal with his divorce from Angelina Jolie, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s fabricated.

According to The Sun, the movie star has sworn off women for the next year as he’s still reeling from the breakup of his marriage. An alleged insider tells the newspaper Pitt has been in relationships his entire adult life, but “now that he’s single, he’s doing things he’s previously been unable to do.”

The outlet’s questionable source goes on to say Pitt is currently focused on his mental and physical health as opposed to dating. The seemingly phony tipster also says the actor’s days consist of “sculpting, workouts and meditation.” However, the publication has no real insight into the situation. Unfortunately, the Daily Mail regurgitated this narrative without bothering to do any fact-checking.

Last year, Pitt revealed in his GQ cover story that he quit drinking and was focusing on a healthier lifestyle. It’s also been established that the actor spends time in an art studio working on various projects, including sculptures. There’s nothing remotely “exclusive” about the part of the outlet’s story that’s semi-accurate. As for the celibacy claims, they’re made-up.

Gossip Cop is told by a source close to Pitt that he hasn’t take a year-long vow of celibacy. The movie star also isn’t avoiding women, despite the tabloid’s claims. In fact, it was reported earlier this year that Pitt was casually dating again, but taking it slow. Although it’s true the actor hasn’t been looking to jump into another relationship, he hasn’t sworn off the idea for the next year.

It’s worth noting, The Sun has proven in the past to know very little about the movie star’s love life following his split from Jolie. Gossip Cop busted the newspaper last year for wrongly reporting that Pitt was spotted “cuddling” with Sienna Miller at a music festival in Glastonbury. The Daily Mail had picked up that report as well. This latest article about Pitt’s nonexistent vow of celibacy is more nonsense.
