Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie NOT In “New War” Over Their Kids, Despite Report

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not in a “new war” over their kids, despite a false report claiming the ex-couple’s custody negotiations have turned nasty. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s inaccurate.

According to Life & Style, the estranged spouses were just days away from finalizing their divorce and custody situation, but Jolie shut down the agreement at the last minute. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “She thought Brad was pushing too hard to resolve the situation to his benefit and felt she was losing control.”

The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say that Pitt isn’t happy about the actress taking their six kids to London over the summer while she shoots the sequel to Maleficent. “It’s quickly gone from amicable to hostile, and sparked a new war over the kids.” The supposed tipster further contends that when the actor complained to Jolie about relocating the children overseas, she bluntly responded, “Too bad.”

“Things have disintegrated so badly,” adds the alleged insider, who further maintains that Pitt “wants the kids to stay with him” in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks over the summer, but Jolie insisted he flies to London if he wants to see them. “Traveling halfway around the world for long weekends isn’t going to be easy,” adds the “source.” Now, the actor is said to be “rapidly losing patience” with his estranged wife, who’s made it clear “it’s her way or the highway.”

Although hammering out custody negotiations hasn’t been easy, the tabloid’s account of events simply isn’t true. Pitt and Jolie share six kids and both have jobs that require them to travel around the world, which complicates the custody process. Still, Gossip Cop is told by a source close to the situation that the exes aren’t “at war” over their children. The two are simply taking time to ensure they do what’s best for their family.

Last month, Pitt and Jolie mutually agreed to extend their divorce negotiations, but their talks remain amicable. It’s also worth noting, Life & Style often publishes contradictory accounts of the exes’ custody situation. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in January for wrongly reporting that Pitt and Jolie would finalize their divorce in the coming weeks, which obviously never happened. The magazine’s latest take on the subject is similarly bogus.
