Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were never in talks to do a movie together, despite a false report from one year ago. Exactly 365 days ago, HollywoodLife made up a fake news story about the exes wanting to work with one another on a film. But, as Gossip Cop rightly noted back then, and it still holds to this day, there was absolutely no truth to the fabricated article.

On March 6, 2017, HollywoodLies, as its often called, claimed to have a “source” who supposedly told the untrustworthy site, “Jen would work with Brad on screen… It’s definitely something that would benefit their careers.” The same seemingly make-believe tipster alleged that at first “it would be easier for them to start something as voices on a future animated film,” rather than right away play “romantic” leads opposite one another. “She would highly consider it,” added the site’s highly improbable insider.

At the time, Aniston’s rep exclusively assured Gossip Cop, “There are no projects that Jennifer is considering with Brad.” The spokesperson went on to reiterate that HollywoodLife’s story was “just another fabrication.” And now 12 months later, while the inaccurate rumors about the ex-spouses still run rampant, it’s abundantly clear that Aniston and Pitt never had plans to do a movie together, animated or otherwise.

As Gossip Cop has noted before, time is not the friend of websites like HollywoodLife that publish fake news. Sadly, it seems the outlet still doesn’t care about accuracy or facts since it has continued to be a fiction factory that churns out made-up articles one after the other. To be sure, following that phony report a year ago, we have continued to catch the site in a web of lies about both Aniston and Pitt.

Among that blog’s untrue tales was a story about Pitt being open to getting back together with Angelina Jolie. But, as Gossip Cop correctly reported, that was 100 percent wrong. More recently, the blog, which questionably maintains it has insiders, published a totally fictitious account of how Aniston met Pitt’s kids. Of course, if the often discredited outlet actually had reliable sources, it would have known a reconciliation between Aniston and Pitt is not happening and wouldn’t have posted its phony report in the first place.

Generally, when Gossip Cop looks back to see how a story holds up, we have a glimmer of hope that the media organization will try to be more accurate in the future. But now a year later, it seems the outlet’s reporting has not improved in the slightest. In fact, it appears the nickname of HollywoodLies becomes more fitting by the day.
