Sofia Carson has come a long way since her first-ever songwriting experience!
In a recent interview, the triple threat talent revealed that writing dark and moody lyrics is nothing new to her! Throughout her life, she’s had a long history of expressing her deepest thoughts through music. Even at a young age, Sofia (who recently dedicated an emotional cover of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” to her fans) was singing about heartbreak!
How did it all begin? Back when the “Ins and Outs” artist was only 10-years-old, she wrote her debut unreleased song — inspired by her grandmother, but not in the way you’d think:
“My grandmother was babysitting us and I think we were annoying her and she said, ‘Guys, leave me in peace.’ I wrote a song called ‘Leave Me Alone’ about a crazy heartbreak, at 10 years old. I’ve always tended to write songs about love that were really intense and dark.”
In case you missed it, Sofia recently opened up about the importance of empowering young girls, and we’re feeling seriously inspired!
