Peggy Sulahian Leaving Real Housewives Of Orange County
February 13, 2018Most of the Real Housewives of Orange County fans will rejoice over this news: Peggy Sulahian will not be back next season. She seemed like a nice enough person, but she really didn’t fit in with the cast at all. That’s not necessarily a bad thing since the last season of the show was its worst one yet.
Nevertheless, a cast shake up was much-needed. Peggy was not super close with any of her costars, she was not (intentionally) funny, and she just wasn’t a big hit with (most of) the fans. So did she leave the show or was she fired?
For the most part, most former Housewives claim that they “decided to leave” the show “after much reflection” or some other cliched and insincere excuse. Very few of them ever admit that they weren’t asked back and that they are devastated about the decline sponsored Instagram posts. Radar says both Lydia and Peggy were fired – and at the last minute, too.
In a statement to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Peggy said, “What an exciting experience it was to be part of The Real Housewives of Orange County! It was an honor to be the 100th housewife and to be part of the Bravo family.” I still cannot believe that we had to endure Peggy hash tagging the “#100thhousewife” on every single Instagram post and that a one and done got such a great title. It should have been Margaret Josephs instead, just saying.

Anyway, the rest of her statement said, “I am extremely proud of being the 1st Armenian-American Housewife and sharing my culture with the world. While I faced and conquered many challenges, I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story and spread awareness of breast cancer. Dealing with the disease and the passing of my father challenged me to reassess and reflect on my life, and I’ve realized what’s most important is leading a healthy and happy life, surrounded by people who care and love you. At this point, moving on seemed like the right thing to do. A few new ventures have availed themselves, and I look forward to sharing them with you soon!”
“Moving on seemed to be the right thing to do”- for the fans- but it really does not seem like this was Peggy’s decision given her not-so-subtle hashtags and photo captions these days about being the 100th housewife and Season 13. No matter whose decision it was, it really does seem like the best decision. For everyone.
