Super Bowl weekend is well underway in Minneapolis, where the New England Patriots will to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. For P!nk, the chance to open the sporting event is an opportunity she's been dreaming for for 17 years.
"I've been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song," she wrote. With her roots in Philadelphia and the chance to perform in front of her hometown team, P!nk said she does not want to disappoint.
"I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?!" P!nk wrote. "I promise I will do my best."
