Shrinking and growing is what both heroes are about, and the size play in this sequel looks like it's going to be even more outrageous and fun than the original — and let's face it, that was basically a romantic comedy. We've got buildings shrinking down to the size of carry-on luggage, complete with handle, and a car shrinking to drive under another car only to explode in full size, sending the other vehicle flying.
It's awesome that Rudd's Ant-Man is a family man first and foremost, with the love of his daughter driving everything he does. When she suggested he maybe needs somebody in his corner, the trailer quickly cut to The Wasp in action, complete with wings and blasters. Partner? She appears to be his better.
Michael Douglas was brilliantly dry telling Rudd that he had that technology available when he made the Ant-Man suit to add those things. He just kind of didn't.
To give audiences a sense of the dynamic between the leads — and remind some people who Ant-Man is — Rudd referenced his appearance with the Avengers, as well as Lilly's absence. "If I had asked you, would you have come?" he asked her.
"I guess we'll never know," she responded. "But if you had, you'd have never been caught."

In a shared universe with a serious lack of butt-kicking females, it looks like Evangeline Lilly's Wasp is going to be a much-needed and welcome addition. Here's hoping Ant-Man can keep up.
