Heidi Klum is not “desperate to replace Kim Cattrall in Sex And The City 3, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told it’s not true the model is “begging” executive producer and star Sarah Jessica Parker to be in the third installment of the franchise, if the movie is ever made.

According to RadarOnline, “Klum is dying to replace Kim” in the Sex and the City 3 movie, and has even been “kissing up” to Parker “to make it happen.” The website once again trots out an unnamed, untraceable and almost assuredly manufactured “insider” to say, “[Klum] thinks she’d be perfect for the role of Samantha or another sexy character to complete the foursome.” The supposed “source” maintains Klum would like to “rescue” the scrapped film and has made “overtures” to Parker, who now knows that without Cattrall she at least has “other options.” “Heidi did a cameo on the show a few years back and had a great time,” adds the alleged tipster, as if that makes the premise any more believable.

A couple of years ago, Klum spoke about her experience with Parker on “Sex And The City,” in which she played herself at a fashion show. She recalled for Vogue UK that she had a “really fun scene” with the show’s star during which they both were “walking in a fashion show and Carrie trips and when I walk out, I have to walk over her.” Klum said she “loved the message of that scene. When people fall down, they have to get back up and keep on walking.”

Of course, over the HBO’s series’ six seasons, a slew of celebrities made cameos on “Sex And The City.” Everyone from Matthew McConaughey and Jon Bon Jovi to Carrie Fisher and Alanis Morissette appeared on the program. Bradley Cooper’s first acting credit was for an episode of “Sex And The City,” and Justin Theroux played two different characters over the series’ run. But by the website’s reasoning, Vince Vaughan, who made two appearances on the show during season three, should also be “begging” Parker to take over Cattrall’s role.

It seems the genesis for the made-up article is that, like Cattrall’s character, Klum has a history of dating with younger men. Her current boyfriend is 28-year-old Tokyo Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz. And before him, the model and “America’s Got Talent” judge went out with 31-year-old Vito Schnabel for a number of years. But that doesn’t make the article’s claims remotely true or accurate.

As Gossip Cop has been reporting for years, the chances of a third movie being made were next to nothing because sources close to Cattrall and the production kept telling us the actress had no interest in returning after the lackluster second Sex And The City movie. Last year, Cattrall herself acknowledged on Twitter that she never wanted to do Sex And The City 3. It appears there never will be another film based on the HBO series, regardless of the website’s phony scenario of Klum stepping in for Cattrall. Gossip Cop has yet to hear back from Klum’s camp, but a rep for Parker confirms to us that the outlet’s entire narrative involving the former supermodel is 100 percent “false.”

RadarOnline’s sister publications have also been guilty of peddling fake plots involving the production of a third film. Last year, for example, the National Enquirer, contended Parker was simply going to kill off Cattrall’s character, a claim her spokesperson denied. And shortly after that, we busted Star when it wrongly asserted Nicole Kidman was offered to replace Cattrall and “would say yes in a New York minute.” That was more than 300,000 minutes ago. Gossip Cop stopped waiting a long time ago for these outlets to have any real insight into the future of Sex And The City 3.

Conclusion: It’s long been reported that Sex And The City 3 is not happening, so it stands to reason that Klum, who had a few minutes of airtime on the TV series more than a decade ago, is not looking to “replace” Cattrall. Additionally, when the actress spoke two years ago of her experience on that episode she did not utter a single word about wanting to be in the film franchise. It seems the hook for this imaginative piece from the often discredited website is that Klum likes younger men, much like Cattrall’s character did on the HBO show.

But she’s never approached Parker about being in a potential third movie, says the actress’s rep, who’s authorized to speak on her behalf. Conversely, the website’s entire story is predicated on an untraceable and seemingly nonexistent “source.” Also, the outlet has a poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about the female subjects of its latest article. For those reasons, Gossip Cop is giving this story a 0 out of 10.
