Trevor Noah Fires Back at CNN to Defend Kim Kardashian's Trump Meeting: 'I Want Her to Stay There Longer'

The "Daily Show" host argues Kim could actually teach Trump a "thing or two" about diplomacy.

Trevor Noah came to Kim Kardashian's defense after CNN's Jim Acosta slammed her visit to the White House, claiming she didn't belong there.

"Really? She 'shouldn’t be here?'" Noah said in response to Acosta in his monologue Thursday night. "You think Kim Kardashian brings down Donald Trump’s Oval Office? Is that what you think? What could she do to make him worse than he already is?"

"If anything, I want her to stay there longer," he joked and then added that the reality star could probably teach Trump "a thing or two" about diplomacy.

"The Daily Show" host gave his two-cents while showing off his own spot-on Kim impression: "Like you should treat China the same way that we treat Blac Chyna, 'cause she's an outsider, no one trusts her, but we've learned to co-exist."

"I know there are some of you that are thinking, 'I can't believe this reality show moron is in the Oval Office,' But remember he was elected by the American people. So show some respect," the comedian joked, showing a picture of Trump.

Noah pointed out the similarities about the reality stars, including that Kanye West loves both of them and that they both believe in employing members of their family no matter how "useless" they are.

Kim attended the White House Wednesday to discuss prison reform with Trump and Jared Kushner. The reality star was motivated specifically by the hope that the president would pardon Alice Marie Johnson, a 62-year-old great grandmother serving a life sentence without parole for a first time drug offense.

"So the big question is: Did Kim Kardashian successfully convince Trump to use his pardon powers?" Noah asked. "The answer is yes, although as always with any Kardashian story there is a big butt."

This "big butt" was that Trump hasn't yet pardoned Johnson, but he was quick to pardon right-wing provocateur Dinesh D'Souza, a conspiracy theorist who is best known for his racist and homophobic commentary, including calling Obama "a gay Muslim."

"I'm not gonna lie, I did not see that coming," Noah said, "After he's meeting with Kim, President Trump decided to ignore her and instead pardon a right-wing troll."

The Comedy Central star offered Kim a bit of advice. "So Kim Kardashian, if you really want to get a pardon for your cocaine grandma, forget the meetings and just tell her to start sending out racist Obama tweets and she'll be out in a week."
