Bethenny Frankel Talks Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley And Nutcracker Credit
June 1, 2018
This week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City was so good and so drama-filled that it was hard to wrap your head around everything that went on! Bethenny Frankel took to her Bravo blog to break down a few highlights of episode, including an explanation of why she didn’t give Dorinda Medley a gushing parade of praise over the nutcracker.
She starts off, “Well, we survived the Berkshires…barely. I’m glad we were able to have some laughs at the end of the night and start fresh the next day.”
Bethenny then dives in and tries to explain why she was more thankful to the guy who delivered the Nutcracker than she appeared to be about Dorinda‘s help in facilitating the find. Bethenny explains, “I absolutely love the holidays and was so excited that “Santa” came through for my daughter this Christmas with that incredible Nutcracker. This is the year when kids in her class begin saying that there is no Santa and the parents are the ones hiding the gifts, so I wanted to go out of my way to find something special. I mean that concept is ludicrous after all. Can you imagine parents hiding gifts? It’s, frankly, preposterous.”
She continues, “My daughter and I saw this nutcracker in the Hamptons and within five minutes, it was sold. Thus began the quest. I mean her nickname is “peanut.”
I am grateful to Dorinda for connecting me with that lovely gentleman Michael via group text. He was incredible. He hunted the piece down in Worcester, MA, and I purchased it immediately. He drove four hours to pick it up and deliver it to me personally. He saved Christmas, which is why I was so excited and focused my attention on him. Feel free to ask @Mikeharrisonart any questions about the origin of that nutcracker.”

On not attending Luann’s blood drive, “I am sorry that I couldn’t make it to the blood drive, but none of us could give blood, so I figured cash cards was the best way for me to contribute.”
All Bethenny has to say about that insane phone call with Ramona Singer is this: “That phone conversation was very negative, upsetting, and certainly not constructive, but life goes on.”
She then weighs in on the end of the episode where it’s revealed that Luann got wasted and arrested in Florida. Bethenny shares, “As far as Luann, I am truly sorry for her having to experience that, get to that low point, and have to see herself that way in this episode. However, that helped with her incredible comeback. We all have to hit bottom to get somewhere. I’m sure she is also sorry to the Palm Beach Police Department for the entire spectacle.”
