White House officials aren’t laughing after controversial comedian Samantha Bee used a vulgar language aimed at Ivanka Trump.
Bee has apologized for the failed joke, in which she called the first daughter a “freckles c**t” on her TBS talk show Full Frontal, during a segment criticizing the Trump administration over the separation of undocumented families nabbed at the border.
On Thursday, May 31, press secretary Sarah Sanders called her language “vile and vicious.”

“The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” Sanders said. “Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network.”
It didn’t take long for the controversial comedian’s pocketbook to feel the affect of her words, as Autotrader and State Farm pulled their ads from her show.
“The comments expressed by Samantha Bee were offensive and unacceptable and do not reflect the views of our company. As a result, we have suspended our sponsorship of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” Autotrader tweeted.

As the backlash grew, Bee issued an apology:
“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee said. “It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”
Her network, TBS, backed her up with a statement of its own.

“Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night,” the network statement read. “Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it.”
The controversy comes just days after another comedian, Roseanne Barr, was fired from her hit ABC sitcom for controversial comments about former Obama administration adviser Valerie Jarrett.
