Heather Locklear is not joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” despite a late and wrong report that Gossip Cop already corrected. We can once again set the record straight. A rep for the actress confirms she’s not signing on for the reality show.
Last month, Gossip Cop busted In Touch for wrongly reporting that Locklear was joining the Beverly Hills edition of the popular Bravo series. An alleged insider claimed that producer Andy Cohen had been pursuing the actress for years, and she was finally in discussions to join the cast after having previously turned down several offers to do so.
Locklear’s supposed change of heart came following a two-month stint in rehab earlier this year, according to the outlet. “Her people think it might be a good way for her to stay accountable and sober,” said the magazine’s questionable source. The seemingly phony tipster further contended that the actress saw the Bravo show as her big comeback.
The report was based on information from an anonymous and untraceable insider, but Locklear’s own spokesperson told Gossip Cop on the record that the story was simply “not true.” We were told the actress has no intention of joining the “Real Housewives” franchise, be it in Beverly Hills or anywhere else.
For whatever reason, NW has decided to recycle the phony story more than a month after Gossip Cop debunked it. The untrustworthy tabloid says Locklear is “getting a reality check of a different kind” after finishing her treatment program by joining “RHOBH.” The magazine then expresses concern over the actress joining the series “considering how much drama and booze comes with the show.” But considering Locklear won’t be appearing on the show, that’s not an issue that concerns her.
As opposed to doing reality TV, the actress appears to be focused on her family and sobriety these days. TMZ reported earlier this month that Locklear spent Mother’s Day with her daughter Ava, and the two have been working to repair their relationship. Meanwhile, Locklear was spotted at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with her boyfriend Chris Heisser last week. Recovery is the actress’s priority for the time being. Regardless, Locklear’s rep confirms she’s not joining the “Real Housewives.”
It’s worth noting, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk a phony story surrounding the popular Bravo series. In March, RadarOnline claimed to have exclusive details about the “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” reunion show. The blog’s entire article was made-up. The reunion show hadn’t even taped yet.
