Freeform‘s ‘The Fosters‘ may be ending, but it doesn’t mean that this is the end for the 24-year-old actress!
In a recent interview, Maia opened up about how she’s learning to move on from ‘The Fosters’ by auditioning for movie roles that are totally out of her comfort zone. She gets real about Hollywood by explaining that once people play a character for a long period of time they’ll only get cast in similar roles. It’s Maia’s mission to change that!
“I think it’s easy to put young women, and especially young women who are on TV and have played the same character for a long time, in a box. And I’m doing everything I can to stay out of it.”
Maia was recently cast alongside ‘Riverdale’ star, KJ Apa, in ‘The Last Summer’!
