NRA Dipshit Oliver North Blames Santa Fe High School Shooting On Teens Who Take Ritalin, And Not, You Know, Readily Accessible Guns
May 20, 2018Oliver North — the incoming National Rifle Association President who once went to jail for illegally selling weapons to Iran — is a dipshit.
If you need proof that Oliver North is a dipshit, look no further than his recent interview this morning on Fox News Sunday, during which he brushed off the need for sensible, responsible gun control in the wake of the school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas on Friday.
Instead, ol' Ollie North blamed Ritalin — yes, Ritalin, the drug — for creating a "culture of violence" as a cause of school shootings.
In comments to host Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Ollie North said (below):
"The problem that we've got is we're trying like the dickens to treat the symptom without treating the disease. And the disease in this case isn't the Second Amendment. The disease is youngsters who are steeped in a culture of violence. Nearly all of these perpetrators are male, and they're young teenagers in most cases, and they've come through a culture where violence is commonplace. All we need to do is turn on a TV, go to a movie. If you look at what has happened to the young people, many of these young boys have been on Ritalin since they were in kindergarten. Now, I am certainly not a doctor; I'm a Marine. But I can see those kinds of things happening."
Uhhhhh….. WTF???
