Hey Guys, Blake Anderson Thinks Crossfading Is “So Overrated”

Don’t expect Blake Anderson to get high on Cinco de Mayo.

Though the 34-year-old was all about blazing up as Blake Henderson on Comedy Central’s Workaholics, he won’t be indulging this weekend. Even though weed is now legal in his home state of California, the actor will be keeping it intersante with a can of Dos Equis instead.

Partnering up with the Mexican beer brand to introduce Cinco Equis, which is — per its new campaign — basically the exact same beer with three more XXXs on the can, Blake recently sat down to give Celebuzz! his thoughts on crossfading. While his onscreen character may have done it a few times, he told us mixing brews and buds is actually pretty “overrated.”

“I would just say use everything responsibly,” he said. “And you know what? You can learn from me. Crossfading is so overrated, guys. Come on, be responsible out there!”

So does what mean he’s given up the party lifestyle? Well, not quite. He still has big plans for Cinco de Mayo.

“I’m actually going to go to a littler concert-party that my friends are throwing, so it should be a good ol’ time,” he told us. “There’s going to be some tacos, definitely going to be some Dos Equis pouring, and some music and dancing — so let’s get it!”

As for his onscreen Workaholics persona, Blake isn’t ready to close the books on him just yet either. Having just released Netflix’s Game Over, Man! with co-stars Adam DeVine and Anders Holm and Eggplant Emoji — a Spring Break flick in which its main character, in Blake’s words, “cuts off his ding-dong” — currently in the works, it’s clear the trio are still very much in it to win it when comes to creating comedy gold.

“I would never say never. Right now, reviving Workaholics isn’t on the docket, but we’ve always joked that we’ll come back to it when we—well, mostly me—go bald because that would be really, really funny. And then we’ll be The Three Stooges,” he said. “We’re just trying to branch out and we’ve just kind of jumped into the film world. We really like it there, so hopefully we’ll get some more opportunities to make some more movies.”
