Gossip Cop has busted a slew of wrong rumors about Kris Jenner. The untrue stories have ranged from claims that she and her ex-husband were back together again and she’s was developing a reality show for her grandchildren to Jenner becoming a host of the “Today” show and having a baby at 62. Below is a recap of five of these provably false reports.
Several months ago, Gossip Cop corrected Star when it falsely claimed the momager was hooking up again with Caitlyn Jenner. The magazine asserted, “In the wake of their nasty split two years ago, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner became sworn enemies. But now sources say the exes have kissed and made up, literally.” Of course, that was a complete falsehood. In fact, during an interview to promote her book, The Secrets Of My Life, Caitlyn admitted she no longer speaks to Kris or the Kardashians, making the claims about the two of them hooking up absurd. Additionally, a rep for the transgender reality star called the contention “hilarious.”
In January, Gossip Cop called out OK! for wrongly alleging Jenner was developing a “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” spinoff that would focus solely on her grandkids. According to the tabloid, Jenner saw the family’s expanding brood as an opportunity to launch a new TV show, but the story was wholly fabricated. Even Jenner herself said a spinoff starring the grandkids would be “pushing the envelope,” adding that it’s a “little too early” to start developing a show focused on the youngsters.
Later that month, OK! untruthfully claimed Jenner wanted to be her friend Kathie Lee Gifford’s new “Today” show co-host, taking over for Hoda Kotb during on the morning program. A so-called “source” was quoted telling the magazine, “It would make sense. They have great chemistry, and producers will want Kathie Lee to feel comfortable with whoever comes in,” adding, “Hosting would be a major coup for Kris.” But there wasn’t even an opening on the morning show, since Kotb continued to co-host the fourth hour with Gifford. In an interview with E! News, Kotb shared, “I’ll still do the fourth hour with Kathie Lee. Someone needs to drink the wine.”
OK! continued to prove in February that it preferred publishing wrong rumors rather than truth. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely asserting that Jenner wanted Tyga and Travis Scott to take paternity tests to find out who her granddaughter Stormi’s real father was. The gossip magazine claimed Jenner’s youngest child Kylie wasn’t sure who fathered the little girl, “so her mom, Kris, wants the candidates to take paternity tests.”
But the identity of Stormi’s real dad was never in question. And Tyga himself shut down the rumors he was the baby’s father. The rapper said, “I’ve never said anything about someone else’s child or family insinuating my involvement; and will never do so. Please, stop spreading false stories and attacking people’s families.” Additionally, it became abundantly clear when Kylie released a video on YouTube after Stormi was born that Scott was her dad and by his baby mama’s side throughout the pregnancy and birth.
Perhaps the most ridiculous rumor was concocted by the site The Hollywood Gossip. It claimed last month that Jenner was pregnant at the age of 62. To try lend credence to its tall tale, the website even alleged Kourtney Kardashian had tweeted, “So happy for my mom.” But it was all made-up and readers and other websites were duped by the fake news. Not only was Gossip Cop personally assured by a family insider, but just hours before the April Fool’s article ran, Jenner was pictured looking slim as ever, without a baby bump, at an event with Kim Kardashian.
While certain tabloids and websites may think they can create wrong rumors about Jenner and others and then move on, Gossip Cop is not going to let that happen. As we always say, time is not the friend of false reporting. Eventually, the truth comes out and invariably it clear who’s telling the truth and who’s lying.
