Can you believe it’s been one year since ‘13 Reasons Why‘ premiered on Netflix!?

The show, that has changed the lives of many, has finished filming season 2 and we’re just waiting for it to be released. Although no official release date has been announced, that doesn’t stop the cast from celebrating their successes since the show’s humble beginnings in 2017!

Over the weekend, many cast members took to their personal Instagram accounts to post heartfelt messages about how the show has affected them in last year! Grab your box of tissues and try not to cry whilst reading what the cast had to say about the show:

A year ago yesterday we premiered a show with the hope that it would help change the conversation surrounding mental health and the way we interact with and listen to our young people. 13 Reasons Why came out a year ago today and has led to one of the most eye opening, thought provoking, and loving years of my life. To everyone who has opened up to a loved one, thank you. To everyone who has started a civil conversation about what needs to change, thank you. To everyone who has told someone that you are there for them, thank you.
